Cycling in London…

I have just managed to get an entry into a competition organised by the Association of Illustrators in conjunction with the London Transport Museum on the theme of ‘Cycling in London’, the top 50 entries will be exhibited at the LTM between July and August.

My entry is a little different to my normal working ‘style’ and is inspired heavily by a lithographic propaganda poster from 1919 by El Lissitzky titled ‘Beat the Whites with the Red Wedge.’ This image has inspired me greatly for over 20 years when I first came across it in my Art History studies whilst on my BTEC Foundation Course in Art and Design…
