It’s arrived, it seems like forever since being informed of my success in this competition. There was a problem with the cover apparently, Mr Charles Hively, the publisher of 3×3 Magazine and the subsequent Annual Show and Directory decided that it just wasn’t good enough a very brave move in the current financial situation, so he re-printed them, a wise move, it looks beautiful as can be seen below. The cover Illustration is by Bill Mayer.
Anyway, onto my work which is what we are here for right? We’ll start with the Distinguished Merit in the Editorial section, an image produced for Angela at CURRENTS (Case), always a pleasure working with both Angela and Jennifer over there and I’m very pleased with the recognition that this image has gained. In case you haven’t yet seen it yet Angela, here is your name boldly printed as the A/D – thank you!
Finally, the big one, my Gold Award recognition in the Self-Promotion category, an image simply titled ‘Celebrate’.
In a competition of this size and magnitude with over 6100 entries – very proud is a word that comes to mind. A massive thank you to all of the judges. More details may be found here.
