Lady Chatterley’s Lover…

…My Rep in New York – Morgan Gaynin – called and asked for a promo piece to be produced for the Book/Publishing market.  I thought long and hard about my choice and eventually came up with the idea to re-interpret the cover of Lady Chatterley’s Lover by D.H. Lawrence, partially in response to the massive rise in ‘erotic’ fiction due to Fifty Shades of Grey, so why not go back to the original and maybe the best.

It’s really a quite beautiful love story, banned apart from underground versions until Penguin published the first unexpurgated version in 1960.  If you haven’t read it – do so, put some love in your life…

As I live within a few miles of where the book was set it makes it all the more relevant for me to have chosen the story, I decided to keep to the classic ‘Penguin’ colour palette, it just seemed to work.
