Yorkshire in Yellow: Art of Le Grande Departé…

…It’s finally here, after meticulous planning and much local hype, the Tour de France is finally set to depart from Yorkshire tomorrow.  As part of the celebration, I was invited to take part in a group exhibition currently on display at the Millennium Gallery in Sheffield.  The exhibition is part of last week’s Sheffield Design Week and the Yorkshire Fesival in conjunction with the Northern design platform – Made North and is titled ‘Yorkshire in Yellow’ and continues until September 7th.

The concept behind the exhibition is a celebration of the Yellow Jersey or ‘Maillot Jaune’ to give it its French title and cleverly takes the form of a peloton of t-shirts hanging from the gallery ceiling.
