‘The Prize for Illustration 2017’…

…At last I can reveal the wonderful news of my successful entry to The Prize for Illustration, jointly organised by the Association of Illustrators and Transport for London.  Making the show as one of 100 exhibitors from over 2000 entries is a great achievement and I’d like to thank all of the judges.

This year’s theme, ‘Sounds of the City’, required an illustrated interpretation of urban sound, my image titled ‘Sound of the Underground’, pays homage to our cities’ wonderful street performers in all their guises.  I’m really proud to say that this is my hat-trick – it’s the third year in a row that I have had work accepted and exhibited into this show.

The exhibition opens to the public on 19th May at the Transport Museum in Covent Garden and runs until Sunday 3rd September.  There are several special events planned which can be viewed on the website including a very special ‘Friday Late’ event this Friday evening to mark the opening.
